There is such a wealth of genealogical information on the web, it may take hours, or even weeks, to sift through all the information to find what you are looking for. Don't get discouraged easily!
An excellent place to begin is RootsWeb, where you can sign up to be on mailing lists organized by family names. You can join a group of people who may be searching for the exact information you seek. *Hint* sign up for the digest rather than daily format of an email list so that your mailbox is not deluged with mail every day.
